The roadside find
A trolley that wouldn’t leave his mind.
More than a decade ago, Flathead Valley native Scott Davis was traveling through Montana
when he spotted an old replica trolley sitting along the roadside. Something about it caught his attention.
He couldn’t stop thinking about it. A few days later, he returned, purchased the trolley, and unknowingly
started what would become one of the Flathead Valley’s most recognizable local businesses.
02
Named for family
A fleet built on family names.
That first trolley was lovingly named Hazel after the founder’s mother. Over the years, more
trolleys joined the family, including Theda and Ruby, named after Hazel’s sisters.
Those early names set a tradition: every trolley carries a story, even as the fleet has changed with time.
03
A family business
From one trolley to a Flathead tradition.
Today Jodie Cross and her family proudly honor those deep roots by meticulously
maintaining the fleet. Under their care, Montana Trolley Company stays a true family operation:
a local favorite for weddings, celebrations, brewery tours, community events, and the Christmas Light
Tours many Flathead families now count as a holiday tradition.

Kind Words
What our guests say.
Families and couples across the Flathead Valley trust Montana Trolley Company for celebrations that matter.
3rd time on the trolley, 1st time with the new owners. The new owners are wonderful. We had a great
experience tonight on the Christmas light tour (their 2nd night in business) so thankful they purchased
the business and are continuing this service in the valley. Our driver was wonderful.
Sydney
We used Montana Trolley Co. for our wedding guest transportation, and overall, it was a great experience!
While the team was a bit slower to respond at first, we felt confident that we were in good hands, and
everything was finalized well before the event. Our guests absolutely loved the fun and unique way to get
to our wedding. It added an extra touch of excitement to the day. We’d definitely use Montana Trolley Co.
again in the future and would recommend them to anyone looking for something different and memorable for
their event transportation.

Excellent service, we had fun and our 8pm number 7 “Jack” trolley driver was awesome. We passed out hot
chocolate and cookies after our ride and had a great time. 10/10 would definitely go again. Might have
to make it a yearly thing.

Built by Hand, Driven by Heart
A fleet restored with family effort.
As demand grew, so did the fleet. Every trolley was restored, maintained, and improved through countless
hours of family effort. From sanding woodwork and repainting trim to upgrading interiors and mechanical systems,
Scott, DawnD, and their family poured their hearts into every detail.
Over the years, Montana Trolley Company became much more than transportation. It became a way for families,
friends, and visitors to slow down, connect, and create lasting memories together. Whether carrying wedding
guests to a celebration, helping couples mark a special anniversary, or bringing the magic of Christmas lights
to life, the trolleys became part of countless stories throughout Northwest Montana.
Today, Montana Trolley Company proudly continues the tradition that Scott and DawnD began, offering unique
experiences, community connection, and a touch of nostalgia throughout the Flathead Valley and beyond.
We are honored to carry their vision forward and grateful for the foundation they built for future generations to enjoy.
Continuing the Tradition
A new chapter, same family heart.
Today, Montana Trolley Company proudly enters its next chapter under the ownership of
Jodie Cross and her children. While Jodie is the face of the business, Montana Trolley
Company is truly a family operation powered by the entire Cross family.
From daily operations and customer service to maintenance, marketing, event planning, and long-term growth,
each family member plays an important role in keeping the trolleys running and ensuring every guest experience
is exceptional. Together, the Cross family shares a common goal: preserving the tradition and community spirit
that Scott Davis and DawnD worked so hard to create while building an even stronger future for generations to come.
As longtime admirers of the company and the memories it has created throughout the Flathead Valley, the Cross
family is honored to carry the legacy forward. Their vision is rooted in respect for the past while embracing
new opportunities to grow, improve, and expand the experiences Montana Trolley Company offers.
Whether transporting wedding parties, celebrating special occasions, creating new seasonal events, or simply
helping families make memories together, the mission remains the same: to provide a unique, welcoming, and
unforgettable experience for every passenger who steps aboard.
The trolleys may have changed hands, but the heart behind Montana Trolley Company remains rooted in family,
community, and creating lasting memories throughout Northwest Montana.
